MEET THE REBEL 101.7 FAMILY!

Kornicky In The Morning

Kornicky started with Rebel on it’s very first day back in 2016 but he began making noise long before that.
I was born and raised in Montreal where my school bus driver not only instilled in me a love of Rock but also my love of “the morning DJ” who we enjoyed every day on the way in. After moving to Toronto at 15, I spent the 80s and 90s sneaking into live music bars with a fake I.D at 17 years old, leaning quietly against back walls to not get further hassled since I looked about 14. 1000 fun stories later, I finally chased my dream job of doing what I continue doing today. 11 years cutting my teeth in Toronto, another dozen years moving between cities launching a few radio stations along the way, I would arrive in Ottawa in 2005. Not only did I love the city but I found my other love, Kim. I finally found a reason to stay put. HOME. My other adopted home is Negril, Jamaica. When the spirit gets lost I know where to find it for 35 years now. I’m a DEADHEAD and I wear that proudly.
The Blues Brothers is the greatest movie ever made. Godfather 1 and 2, Goodfellas, and Casino can run on a 24/7 loop on my island’s only cable channel. Motorcycles, Music and Mayhem round out the Tinder profile.
The Ride Home with Cub Carson

Cub was born a ramblin’ man. Tryin’ to make a livin’ and doin’ the best he can. Born & raised in the National Capital area with a fortitude as hard as the Canadian shield itself. Cub loves Star Wars, burritos, dogs, the Ottawa Senators, the sport of professional wrestling & telling tall tales. He has two kids who call themselves War Bacon and DJ Sparklefart and has a Peter Pan complex. He also loves you, the Rebellion!!
The Greg Beharrell Show

The Greg Beharrell Show is unlike any you’ve heard before! (We’re sorry). But who else could spin you musical tales, read a weather report for your dog, and serenade you with a song? Perhaps you shall be one of the lucky (sort of) listeners to call in and make verbal magic with Greg! When it comes to radio shows, TGBS is easily in the top two or three million.
Victoria Arsenault

My name is Victoria. I’m a professional talker and part-time dog wrangler. If I’m not behind the mic, I’m probably at a concert screaming the lyrics louder than the band — or chasing my Boston Terrier, Milo, who thinks he runs the show (he definitely does). I’m your typical millennial: fueled by caffeine and nostalgia. I thrive outdoors — whether it’s hiking a trail, floating in a lake, or dramatically staring into the distance contemplating my existence. I believe in loud music, soft animals, and avoiding adulthood wherever possible. Catch me on-air, Saturdays 1-6pm and Sundays 12-6pm, playing your favourite rock hits and oversharing like it’s a family group chat.
Iain Smith

Iain Smith is a young and fresh graduate from Niagara College’s Broadcasting Program who loves to talk to anyone who’ll listen. With a love for video games, movies, tv shows and books he is always ready with another useless fact and pop culture trivia. He found his love of radio growing up way down south in Kitchener/Waterloo’s 91.5 The Beat. As the youngest member of the gang here at Rebel he always tries (and usually fails) to keep us all hip. He took a chance on Ottawa and moved here for an awesome apprenticeship chance and we loved him so much we couldn’t let him go. Loves a good concert and can’t say no to a good beer, so he fits in perfectly with the rest of us. Now all that’s left is for him to figure out how to say “Rideau” properly…
